The Naturehike LW180 is a light, compact sleeping bag for mild nights. It weighs 680 g in the regular size and 760 g in the long one, and packs down to Ø12 × 29 cm. That is the size at which you take it along without thinking about it.
Key features
- Weight 680 g (Regular) and 760 g (Large).
- Packed size Ø12 × 29 cm (Regular) and Ø13 × 31 cm (Large), including the compression sack supplied.
- Open size 190 × 75 cm (Regular) and 205 × 85 cm (Large).
- 20D 380T polyester taffeta inside and out: thin, supple and breathable.
- 80 g/m² silk-like synthetic fill — it keeps insulating when damp, unlike down.
- Two-way YKK zip: you can open the foot end to vent your feet.
- Unzips fully into a blanket, and zips to a second one to make a double.
What you use it for
For summer bikepacking, huts, festivals and travel where weight and volume in your bag matter more than the last degree of warmth. On a gravel trip this is the kind of bag that fits in a seat pack without you having to take everything else out.
Size and temperature
The Regular is 190 × 75 cm and suits riders up to roughly 1.80 m; if you are taller or like room to move, take the Large (205 × 85 cm). Naturehike rates it at 15 °C comfort: the temperature at which you sleep comfortably in it, not the point where you are just about coping. Colder than that and this is not the right bag — look at the U series alongside it. Do keep in mind that a sleeping bag does not insulate you from the ground — your mat does. If your mat is not warm enough, a thicker sleeping bag will not save the night; look at your mat's R-value first.
