What you use it for

For everything you do in the dark with both hands: cooking, pitching your tent, patching a tube, or putting a chain back on at the roadside. 200 lumens is plenty for a campsite and for walking a trail; it is not a bike light for public roads, where the beam has to point at the road rather than wherever you happen to look.

Charging and care

Use the lowest setting that does the job: the whole difference between 8 uur 30 and 66 hours is how bright you run it. On a multi-day trip that is the difference between carrying a power bank and not. Wear it low on your forehead and tilt the head down: aimed straight ahead it dazzles anyone who looks at you, and the glare back off your own breath and dust makes you see less.
