Sea to Summit – Aeros Ultralight Pillow – inflatable pillow (55 g)

The Sea to Summit Aeros Ultralight Pillow is an inflatable pillow you blow up to the firmness you want yourself. It weighs 55 g in Regular and packs down to 7 × 6.5 × 6.5 cm — roughly the size of an egg.

What you use it for

For bikepacking, hiking and any trip where a real pillow is out of the question. A rolled-up down jacket works too, but it slides away and it is exactly the garment you want to be wearing at night. This is the alternative that weighs 55 g.

Size and use

The Regular (34 × 26 × 11 cm) fits inside the hood of most sleeping bags, which holds it in place by itself. If you sleep on your side or want more support, the Large (45 × 31 × 12 cm) is roomier, but it no longer fits in a hood. Do not inflate it hard: a pillow you can still press in sleeps better than one pumped tight.
