By travelling to unknown places by bike, you experience the environment much more than with any other means of transportation. You come across places where you would otherwise never have access to, which are often the most beautiful places. As a bikepacker, it is also easier to get in contact with the local population, who are often very curious, hospitable and helpful if necessary and proud that they have you exploring their land.
