The weight and size of the cloud up 1 makes it an ideal tent for bikepacking and backpacking for 1 person. The tent has enough space to store all material inside.
The cloud up 1 can also be used as a tarp tent or single inner tent, depending on the needs during the planned trip.
Cloud Up Sizes
All Cloud Up models are suitable for sitting upright. Thanks to the inner tent suspension system, the inner tent ceiling feels wider and cozier than you might think from the outside. The Cloud Up 3 has a transverse floating tent pole to extend the ceiling. The Cloud Up 1 and Cloud Up 2 do not have this.
Take the tent with you in a backpack or bicycle bag
The length of the tent packaging is determined by the length of the tent poles. By transporting it separately on the outside of your backpack or in a frame bag on the bike, you can compress the tent by more than half its length, so that it takes up much less space. I usually take my Cloud Up 2 with me in my saddle bag, which leaves a lot of space for other things.
Tarptent setup
With only the flysheet and footprint, the CloudUp can be set up as a tarp tent. This is especially interesting when weight saving is important, such as during an ultra endurance race.
Sleeping under the stars
The inner tent of the CloudUp can also be set up separately, with or without a footprint. This setup is ideal in dry areas where you still want to be protected from insects, snakes, ...
Free standing
The cloudUp tents can be set up anywhere. The poles are secured in the footprint or inner tent, eliminating the need for pegs to keep the structure straight. Ideal for rocky surfaces.
Very easy to set up
The CloudUp 1 can be set up within 6 minutes without practice or preparation. The first time I set it up completely in less than 10 minutes without any help.
Lightweight tent
The CloudUp 1 is a very light tent, this 20D version weighs only 1.2 kg without footprint and pegs.
